AEPA - Oh great! Another acronym........let me see if I can figure out THIS one!  Uhhhhhhhhh  - I think this one is All Enthusiastic People Agree - or wait - maybe it is Absolutely Everybody Participates Annually....no, that doesn't sound quite right.

 

I KNOW - it's Adventist Energy Pulled Altogether!!!!!  Ummmm, that doesn't seem like it either.......

 

Is it Adventists Elevate People Always?  This is beginning to frustrate me.  How can I know what AEPA is if I can't even remember what the letters stand for?  Ahhhhhhhh, now it's coming back to me!!!

 

AEPA is easy to remember - just use this little pneumonic.

 

A = ADVENTIST (always!!)

E = EVENT ( e works in front of a lot of things these days - e-mail, e-vite, e-news, so this is E-VENT)

P = PLANNERS (planning is what we do - the heart of the organization!)  We PLAN meetings of all shapes and sizes!!

A = ASSOCIATION (we want to associate with lots of other people that plan meetings!)

 

Adventist Event Planners Association is a unique group to be connected to!  We recognize there are many, many people "out there" that are constantly working through the mine field of organizing and executing conferences, workshops, retreats, conventions, board meetings, ministry meetings, weddings, gala's, church work bee's, school youth trips, concerts, lifestyle programs, and the list goes on and on!

 

We approach the process in a variety of ways and look to other meeting planners for ideas and creative suggestions on how to do a better job - no matter what the event may be!  Whether big or small, AEPA provides a resource of information and ideas that might make your job easier!  The steps are all quite similar to get to the same end result - SUCCESS!!  We thrive on accomplishing a positive outcome after a lot of organizing and orchestrating.  We bring our experience together to share and compare so others might benefit.

 

AEPA is growing the organization and wants to get the word out for greater awareness and participation.  Please visit the website www.adventisteventplanners.org  and consider joining so you can begin networking and connecting to other Adventist meeting planners.  Review our member vendors and realize the added value they offer through their services.  Submit your suggestions and ideas through our comments section and don't forget to share your data so we might all better leverage our negotiation opportunities.

 

Watch for our upcoming Calendar of Events that will include meetings around the country where seminars will be offered and opportunities to visit with other meeting planners.  We are working on becoming a Certified Meeting Planner resource and promoter and have begun to develop opportunities for interns.
